If you're from London then read Neverwhere. If you want something funny then read 'Good Omens', a fantastic book about the apocalypse that was co-written but that other funny englishman Terry Pratchett. All the rest are good as well, and it's probably worth looking at Neil's blog to find out more about the man, his daily life and a black cat called Fred.
